When was that photo portrait taken?

Pamela Cole is a professional Costumier in the Metro - Atlanta area and a graduate of Chicago's Goodman Theatre in Costume Design and Building. Mrs. Cole has worked extensively with Ballet, Theatre, Opera, Movies, Museums, and Reenacters. She is currently with the Capitol City Opera Company of Atlanta.

Ms. Cole and Avery Gallery were recently featured on Fox 5 News Atlanta seeking the public's help in locating the owner of an old portrait that has been in the possession of Avery Gallery for over 20 years. http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/Gallery-Seeks-Owner-of-Mystery-Painting-20110818-am-sd

Many photo portraits have little or no information as to the identity of the subject or subjects, the location, or era. Pamela can date images by analyzing hair styles, jewelry and how it is worn, shoes, hats, hand bags, gloves, shawls, ties, dress length and style for the ladies, style of trousers and jackets for the men.

Her talk will be presented at 6 pm and 8 pm on Friday May 4th, 2012 at the Avery Gallery at 390 Roswell Street for the May ArtWalk, and then again on Saturday, May 5th at two in the afternoon. There is no cost for the lecture, but there is a charge to have an item analyzed; less than a third of the normal price. Please bring your items such as old photos, or even portrait paintings that you would like to know when they were done.

Old photos are welcome, and there will be many here as samples for what are analyzed towards dating others. We welcome comments and factual information on people. If you know real facts as to dates and people and what they did in those times, that is all welcome information and will be well received.
