TUES-May 29th: In recognition of Hip-Hop Appreciation Week, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host the exhibit, Music through My Lens, by critically acclaimed and former Death Row Records photographer, Simone Green.  This exhibition is a photographic journey through Green’s experience in the entertainment industry and includes an intimate behind-the-scenes look at iconic music industry superstars such as, Nate Dog, The Fat Boys, Full Force, and Snoop Dogg. The , 101 Auburn Ave. NE. All day.

WED-May 30th: The East Lake Community Learning Garden hosts a lecture on pallet gardening. Learn how to make a pallet garden and help build a living herb wall. The class is at 2nd Ave. SE and Hosea L Williams Dr. SE and is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Happy Super Awesome Wednesday Fun Time Hour!Almst every Wednesday, the hosts an afternoon of fun for East Atlanta's littlest ones. There will be stories, crafts, music and light refreshments. Blocks toys and puzzles for the younger ones. Fun Time Hour is from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Brownwood Park, 602 Brownwood Ave. SE. Please RSVP if possible.

SAT-June 2nd: Monthly meeting of the Young Entrepreneurs & Professionals Breakfast at the . This is a fun and free gathering of local professionals and entrepreneurs. Coffee, tea, fruit, and cinammon rolls will be served. The breakfast is at 8 a.m. at 1560 Memorial Dr. SE.

For $40 you will receive everything you need, including instruction and coaching to make your own long lasting 55 gallon rain barrel.
