Marietta Children's Author on Kickstarter

Candi Stargell is looking to give her children's series "Littler Derby Mouse" a kick on Kickstarter.

Candi Stargell, a Marietta-based children's author, launched a character and values book series entitled Little Darby Mouse via Kickstarter.com.

Stargell hopes to raise $5,550, with pledges of $1 or more, to fund her self-published project by March 20. The funding will help cover the cost of the first book's printing and other major business expenses.

The first book, Little Darby Mouse Goes to Big School, chronicles Little Darby Mouse's academic journey and encourages kids to graduate from high school and seek higher education and vocational training.
