Marietta Music Scene: A Change in the Weather

Enjoy some holiday shopping, then get out and relax.

With the metropolis of Atlanta to the south and numerous renowned musical venues peppered across the metro area, Marietta's music scene is often lost amid the din. But as any Marietta music lover knows, the local scene here remains vibrant and essential. Marietta Patch is here to help you navigate it.

1. Dixie Tavern is rocking the weekend. Kurt Thomas brings Country Music to Friday. Saturday Yacht Rock Schooner is the little boat that brings a pajama party. No need to dress up, just get comfy and come dance into the night. Mondays are open mic. Tuesday Brent McDonald and Wednesday Steve Moncie bring their acoustic stylings to the stage. Come in and relax after catching up on some holiday shopping.

2. Johnnie Maccracken's is always warm and cozy. Drop in this weekend and enjoy North Georgia grown, Stephanie Caron on Friday night, and Marietta sweetheart Rod Hamdallah on Saturday. Tasty food morsels and a beer selection that makes a beer snob drool are promised and given.
