Plein Air Paint Out Highlights Marietta Landmarks

The winner of the Inaugural Plein Air Paint Out was a painting of the Big Chicken.

Artists scattered Marietta on Saturday and Sunday for the Plein Air Paint Out.

From the local homes and gardens to the dynamic architecture of downtown, historic Marietta has many picturesque scenes that proved perfect for plein air painting.

The Marietta-Cobb Museum’s Inaugural Plein Air Paint Out featured a judged exhibition and sale of artwork at Surace Art Studios.

First place of the Plein Air Paint Out was Shane McDonald's Big Chicken Rush.

The pieces of art submitted will be on display and for sale at Surace Art Studios Tuesday through Sunday.

Good grief, if the rifle can kill someone, why on earth would you give it to a five-year-old? ThisRead More one just boggles my mind. I hope that even the NRA has a problem with this.

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
