Will Marietta Chef Survive 'Chopped'?

We're following along live as Tom McEachern from Ray's on the River goes for $10,000.

, the corporate executive chef at Ray's on the River in Sandy Springs, is competing on tonight's new episode of Chopped on the Food Network. We'll follow along as he tries to make it through three courses of surprise ingredients to defeat three other chefs and win $10,000. Join in with comments below or on Twitter (@MariettaPatch).

10:58 p.m. Brooklyn Food Truck Guy, Chef Alan, is the winner. He was creative and polite, so there's that.

10:43 p.m. Chef Tom is chopped. Stupid judges. "Your entree plate didn't come together as a cohesive dish." So we're stopping the blog here. We'll let you know who wins, but it's just too painful to watch two Yankees compete for the cash while our Southern boy was sent home.

10:41 p.m. Remember, judges: If Chef Tom loses, cancer wins. You don't want to be on the side of cancer, do you?

10:38 p.m. McEachern gets praise for simplicity but criticism for his artichoke and boar. He grabbed the grilling challenge, but the judges think he fell short in bringing it all together. It doesn't sound good.

10:37 p.m. McEachern scores with his apple and his chipotle barbecue sauce, but he fails with the artichoke. His boar chop is chewy.

10:37 p.m. Artichoke for Food Truck Alan is good, but the board is a bit underdone. The wine-ketchup sauce is a mixed bag.

10:35 p.m. The spatzle flavor is good; the texture is not.

10:31 p.m. McEachern just gets his plates done. All three of them have messy plates. Food Truck is amazed that Boston got spatzle done in 30 minutes. But we'll see whether it tastes good.

10:29 p.m. McEachern has to saute the artichokes to finish them in time.

10:29 p.m. He pulls out an apple for an extra bit of flair and flavor.

10:28 p.m. McEachern's artichokes go on the grill with 10 minutes left.

10:27 p.m. Our man is boiling the 'chokes, planning to grill them once they're softened. He's worried about the sauerkraut.

10:25 p.m. For the main course, our ingredients are rack of wild boar, artichokes, ketchup and sauerkraut. McEachern is confident, comparing wild boar to elk and planning to use the ketchup in a good Southern barbecue sauce.

10:21 p.m. And the chopped chef is the Yugoslav immigrant, who seemed nice enough. We'll miss you.

10:20 p.m. The first chopping will come after the commercial. It's likely the Boston woman, but McEachern is in danger.

10:19 p.m. McEachern "had a car wreck with that fish," one judge says, but the Boston woman is taking more criticism.

10:18 p.m. McEachern's vinaigrette is a hit, and he "brilliantly pureed" the eggplant. But his salmon takes criticism.

10:16 p.m. The Yugoslav guy ruined the salmon. The Boston woman made tasteless salmon. The food truck guy gets praise for his creativity.

10:14 p.m. McEachern criticizes the food truck guy for not grilling his fish.

10:14 p.m. McEachern gets attention for blending his eggplant, unlike the boring competition. Plus, if he wins, some of the prize money will go to breast cancer research.

10:13 p.m. We're back from commercial with 3 1/2 minutes left for the appetizer.

10:08 p.m. The Yugoslav chef is dissing good, old American yellow mustard. The gall!

10:07 p.m. The cedar planks aren't working atop the grill, as the chef-commentators point out, so McEachern shifts gears.

10:05 p.m. Our guy is going for the cedar-plank salmon. Classic. You also have to like that he's already citing his love of his daughter and his mom, who died from breast cancer.

10:04 p.m. Coho salmon, baby eggplant and mustard are the items for the first course. And everything all night has to be grilled.

10:03 p.m. McEachern: "I should win because I'm better than the rest." Awesome.

10 p.m. McEachern is up against a Boston woman who lost 115 pounds, a single dad who runs a food truck in Brooklyn and a guy originally from Yugoslavia. No problem.
