Bites Nearby: Vincent’s Italian Restaurant

Sometimes the most tedious part of dining out is figuring where to dine out. Patch makes it easy every Thursday; we find great restaurants for you. This week: Vincent’s Italian Restaurant.

Overview: Attention Italian Food Lovers! Vincent’s Italian Restaurant on Barrett Parkway serves a bottomless salad bowl and awesome bottomless garlic and butter-drenched rolls. Let me say those are just two little reasons to dine at this New York-style Italian family restaurant. The soft lighting, wonderful aromas and the presence of Rocky, Vincent’s owner, make you feel like you are right in Little Italy. Especially delectable entrée choices are the lemon picatta, veal parmigiana and seafood alfredo. Kids love the New York style pizza.  Try to make room for a slice of the chocolate cake–it is moist, rich and...heavenly. Go for the Early Bird Special and get soup, salad, entrée and dessert for under $10. Mama Mia!

Décor:  The interior is a mix of deep reds and dark woods, a comfortable atmosphere for a family or group, yet perfect for a romantic, intimate dinner (think bottle of good red wine, soft lighting …) or any special occasion.

The Drinks: Vincent’s bar has character, elegant and comfortable at the same time. An extensive wine list offers a choice for every taste and budget. Oh, and Rocky’s son makes a mean Bloody Mary—not something you’d expect at an Italian Restaurant.

412 Ernest W Barrett Parkway 678-290-2031

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday; noon to 10 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday; noon to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

I'm going to give that joint another try. I went there a long time ago and it wasn't the best place to eat. I'm going to check it out again and give Vincent a 2nd chance.

Truly not a New York pizza. It had little amounts of cheese and too much can tomato sauce. The service was truly New York. They were rude and arrogant. One trip was enough. I truly hope they are not from New York. They would embarrass my home town.

John, I can't make an accurate comment on this, because I'm from Chicago! What, in your definition, is the true "New York Style" pizza? Best, Justin

Please so not give these fascists business. They need to be shutdown for unhealthy food prep and staff harrassment. I would know, I had the misfortune of working here.

The absolute BEST Italian restaurants in the vicinity are Vespuccis (4805 Canton Rd) and Frankies (3085 Canton Rd). Vespucci's is slightly more upscale/pricey, Frankies slightly more casual. Both have VERY good NY style Italian food.

You must be an angry ex employee. Maybe you were fired or something, there is no need to trash talk an excellent restaurant.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever had anywhere. The manager is an arrogant ass. Food was mediocre at best and they don't know how to make drinks. Dirty. Don't go to this poor excuse of a resturant.

Awful service. Food was mediocre at best and the manager was just scary. Did not care if we were happy and actually threatened me and my 75 year old mother in law. Needless to say I would not recommend this place. My husband thinks its a money laundering cover!
