Saving soda cans and bottles to make decorations, converting rags into rugs and pillows—Rita and Sandy try to find a use for everything. Rita now uses "plarn," plastic yarn, which she makes from Walmart, Target, Kroger, Kohl's and Charmin bags. Rita uses plarn to knit purses and hats.

Fit for a Queen was featured in the film Molly Pickens and the Rainy Day Castle, and Rita and Sandy have both worked as extras. Furthermore, Fit for a Queen is currently home to aliens from the film Area 51.
