Food Truck Rally Comes to Marietta

Marietta had its inaugural Food Truck Rally on Monday at the parking lot of Walton Communities' 12-acre Meeting Park near Marietta Square. What tasty treats would you like to see served next week?

The first-ever Marietta Food Truck Rally was held Monday night at 218 Roswell St. near the square.

The lineup featured: Westside Creamery, Happy Belly, Mighty Meatballs, Freckled & Blue - A Modern Southern Eatery, Buen Provecho Truck and Pressed for Time.

The Marietta Food Truck Rally will be back every Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Meeting Park development parking lot at 218 Roswell Street until the holidays hit.

Up to 10 food trucks can attend the weekly event by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition.

Food trucks are all the rage in metro Atlanta. The Howell Mill Food Truck Park opened in April. Smyrna City Council voted to approve Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays in Taylor Brawner Park in June.

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday's feature their hometown Happy Belly Food Truck. King of Pops is another metro Atlanta favorite. The Yumbii food truck is no stranger to Cobb County, maybe they'll bring some of their tasty tacos.
