Miles for Mammograms 5K, Carnival Rides, BBQ, Music

On Saturday, Sept. 28, there will be The Miles for Mammograms 5K Walk/Run, Poker Run, Motorcycle Ride, carnival rides, BBQ and live music.

The Annual We Fight BOLD weekend to battle breast cancer will be hosted by East-West Church, 1521 Hurt Rd, Marietta, GA 30008, on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. 

On Saturday, Sept. 28, there will be The Miles for Mammograms 5K Walk/Run, Poker Run, Motorcycle Ride, carnival rides, BBQ and live music.  

Just after dark on Saturday, East-West Church will light up the night with fireworks.

The Annual Worship in Pink will be held on the following day, Sunday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. 

With help from Earl Small’s Harley-Davidson, Extreme Garage and Lawbike.com, East-West Church is giving all of the proceeds from the event to the WellStar Foundation to fund mammograms and genetic risk assessment for low income and under-insured women served by WellStar Cobb Hospital.

“We are forever grateful for East-West Church and Denise and Pastor Alan Mushegan and their efforts to help raise awareness and make a difference for those lives in need served by WellStar Cobb Hospital,” said Tracey Atwater, president, WellStar Foundation. “We are thankful to have such exceptional community partner.”

In the event of rain, all Saturday events, including the fireworks, will be moved to Saturday, Oct. 5. However, Worship In Pink will still be held on Sept. 29.
