The Georgia Department of Labor will help Norred & Associates, a security and investigative company, fill about 10 jobs for unarmed security officers in metro Atlanta Thursday, Sept. 6.
The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.
While no previous security experience is necessary, applicants must have a resume, be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

They must also have their own transportation and be able to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

The company will conduct an extensive background check on selected applicants, who must have no records of arrests for felonies or misdemeanors in their backgrounds.
Salaries are $9 an hour, plus benefits.
