RaceTrac Opens New Prototype Store

The Cobb County-based company says the city of Acworth was chosen as the launching pad for the newly designed station based on neighborhood demographic research.

RaceTrac held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday with Mayor Tommy Allegood at its new store at the corner of Lake Acworth Drive and Cherokee Street/Glade Rd.

Leaders with the Cobb County-based company say the new gas station will serve as the prototype for all new RaceTrac stations, calling the 6,000-square-foot new design the "RaceTrac of the future."

"Our new store design features many exciting updates including indoor and outdoor seating, 10 Swirl World frozen yogurt flavors with more than 40 toppings, a beer cave with 50 plus brands, and free wireless internet." said RaceTrac spokesperson Terrica Oglesby.
