Space Shuttle Endeavour Ends a Legendary Era in Aviation, F-35 Begins the Next
Space shuttle Endeavour was taxied by an F-35A conventional takeoff and landing variant on Sept. 21.
Mounted atop its 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA), space shuttle Endeavour launched from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., on Sept. 21, to complete the final leg of its ferry flight to the California Science Center in Los Angeles. It was taxied by an F-35A conventional takeoff and landing variant.
