Former general manager of Pacci Ristorante in Atlanta plans to open Chicken and Egg in Marietta in August.

Marietta can expect another upscale dining establishment come August.

Marc Taft, formerly the general manager at Pacci Ristorante in Atlanta, recently  announced his plans to open a new restaurant called Chicken and the Egg.  Taft plans for Chicken and the Egg to be "a neighborhood gathering spot that will serve sophisticated yet approachable modern farmstead fare."

The menu at Chicken and the Egg will feature innovative twists on classic American dishes with the intent on incorporating seasonal ingredients from local farms and purveyors as well as sustainable beef, pork, poultry and seafood.
