The Windies Are Coming
Belles and beaus put on your good old Southern attire and get ready to step back in time with the annual Gone with the Wind celebration.
The will host Belles, Beaus and Barbecue: A Gone with the Wind Celebration in May.
The event kicks off Friday May 25, at 6:30 p.m. with a Sock Hop at the Marietta Country Club. With '50s music, dancing and costumes, Elvis impersonators and a few mystery guests the evening will be a great start to the weekend for Windies, Gone with the Wind fans.
Saturday, May 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Glover Park on Marietta Square will be transformed into the Twelve Oaks Barbecue. Barbecue, desert, dancing and costumes will bring the Square alive for the afternoon.
