U.S. Government Receives 200th C-130J Super Hercules

An MC-130J Commando II designated for Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., was ferried from the Lockheed Martin plant in Marietta on Dec. 5.

An MC-130J Commando II designated for Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., was ferried from the Lockheed Martin plant in Marietta on Dec. 5.

This MC-130J has the distinction of being the 200th C-130J Super Hercules delivered to the U.S. Government, which is the largest Super Hercules operator. This aircraft is assigned to Air Force Special Operations Command.

The Commando II supports such missions as in-flight refueling, infiltration/exfiltration, and aerial delivery and resupply of special operations forces.
