Hargett named assistant secretary of energy nonprofilt

Alisha R. L. Hargett is the newly elected Assistant Secretary of the Atlanta chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE). She's also a Senior Regulatory Analyst with SCANA Energy Marketing, Inc.  She began her career at SCANA Energy in 2000 in the Rates and Sales department as a Sales Coordinator. Currently Alisha is responsible for maintaining the administrative activities of the Regulatory & Legislative department, as well as working closely with the company’s external consultants, attorneys, subsidiaries and members of the Georgia PSC and Georgia Legislature. Alisha attended the University of Georgia, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS/BA in Marketing/Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and holds professional certifications in Time Management and Communications. An AABE member since 2007, Alisha has served in several Chapter committees, and represents SCANA Energy at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.  She also mentors at several schools in the Wheeler cluster area.

 

A native of Elmont, New York, Alisha resides in the Cobb County area with her husband and two children. Her civic and community service activities include: the Legislative/Advocacy Chair of the Wheeler High School PTSA, Board Member/Committee Chair of the East Cobb Middle School Foundation, past President of the Eastvalley Elementary School Foundation, 7B Team Mom/Assistant Coach of the East Cobb Middle School Jr. Wildcats basketball team, an EDGEvisor at the Catholic Church of St. Ann and a frequent volunteer at her children’s schools and church.
