Mary Stokes Promoted to Managing Director and Regional Investment Executive of Institutional Investments at U.S. Trust

Mary Stokes, a 25-year financial services industry veteran and resident of Powder Springs, has been promoted to managing director and regional investment executive of institutional investments at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Atlanta. 

Stokes is responsible for the delivery of investment management services to clients of U.S. Trust Philanthropic Solutions and Bank of America Retirement Solutions. Other duties include coaching and developing portfolio strategists within the region, working with regional colleagues to grow the business, as well as compliance and risk management oversight.  

Stokes also serves as a portfolio strategist for several institutional clients and is responsible for delivering fiduciary investment solutions to nonprofit endowments and foundations. In this capacity, she advises clients in developing comprehensive investment strategies to achieve client-designated objectives, recommends optimal portfolio and manager structures to implement clients’ investment strategies and monitors investment performance to ensure client objectives are met.

Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Stokes served as a senior consultant for Mercer Investment Consulting and Capital Resource Advisors.  She began her career in the banking industry as a capital markets expert with the Comptroller of the Currency.

Stokes holds a BSBA in finance from the University of Denver.  She is a chartered financial analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts.
