One of our community partners, Stop Alcohol Under 21 has put together a video on underage drinking called the "Worst Drug of All." The half-hour program emphasizes that drinking kills more young people than all illegal drugs combined. It quotes expert's opinions, gives alarming statistics on the issue and provides interviews with teens affected by drinking too much, too soon.
The segment draws attention to lesser known information about underage drinking, such as the fact that heavy alcohol use can shrink the hippocampus, the part of the brain that stores memory.
