Chairman Tim Lee to Offer State of County at Chamber Breakfast

Cobb County Commission Chairman Tim Lee gives his first "State of the County" before a breakfast gathering of business leaders at the Atlanta Marietta Northwest today.

1. Tim Lee, chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners, this morning will give the first "State of the County" address of his term as chairman. The speech will be part of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce's First Monday Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest at 200 Interstate North Parkway in Smyrna. General admission is $50 for the general public and $35 for chamber members.

2. After wrapping up his speech, Lee heads over to 100 Cherokee St. in Marietta for a commission work session at 10 a.m.

3. The Marietta City Council has its own work session scheduled for today at 5:15 p.m. at City Council chambers at Marietta City Hall.

5. Michele Norris, co-host of NPR's "All Things Considered" is speaking at a special book club event at 7 p.m. today St. James Episcopal Church, 161 Church St. Her book Grace of Silence is available for sale at the church bookstore before the event for $22.
