Marietta Spared Storm Damage

While Marietta faced heavy rain and a tornado warning last night, police say the city was spared any damage.

While the fallout from Tropical Storm Lee caused quite an uproar last night, Marietta saw little damage.

Some flyers and small debris littered the streets this morning. However, public information officer Jennifer Murphy said that there were no reports of injuries or damage within the city limits.

There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation today with a high of 71. Tonight has a 30 percent chance of showers with a low of 59 and south winds of 5 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
