Deandre Davoughin Hightower, 20, of Cartersville, has been charged with murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and two counts of false imprisonment in the death of an unidentified 29-year-old woman Tuesday morning at an apartment complex.

Four ninth grade boys at Centennial High School were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after taking an unprescribed respiratory medication.

It's believed the Mucinex-type medication they ingested belonged to one of the boys and was shared with the others.

Jury selection is underway in trial proceedings against four men in the alleged "Jack Boys" gang-related murder of a Virginia Highland man in late 2010.

In addition to the killing of Charles Boyer and the rape of a Grant Park woman, the crime wave allegedly included 17 armed robberies and six carjackings throughout the Virginia Highland and other Atlanta intown neighborhoods.

A Gwinnett man has been charged with aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery against his neighbor, a 15-year-old Brookwood High School student. 

Robin Patrician Ouimette was arrested Friday following a six-week investigation by police, who were notified by the girl shortly after the alleged incident took place near her home on Aug. 11.
