Strand Puts Glee Finale on Big Screen ... for Free

The most spectacular way to catch the end of Season Two of Glee tops The 5 Things today.

1. Even a non-Gleek like Marietta Patch (never even seen a single episode) has to admit the utter awesomeness of airing the Season 2 finale on the big screen. But we've come to expect it with the , which has aired a Super Bowl or two there. And it's all for free.

Show up at 7 p.m. for pre-show mingling, concessions, and a cash bar. Seating will be general admission. Call 770-293-0080 for information.

2. , along with Bank of Coweta, a sister division of Synovus Bank, reported this week that it had collected nearly four tons of peanut butter and jelly as part of the Fourth Annual Peanut Butter and Jelly Food Drive.

The drive, held from April 2 to May 14, benefits children served by 30 local food pantries that are located near 46 branches in metro Atlanta. In total, the two banks collected 5,899 jars at 7,997 pounds, which is enough to make more than 63,978 sandwiches for children in metro Atlanta.

3. The from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today is sponsoring a blood drive at Hudgins Hall. Donors may schedule an appointment by calling the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS, but walk-ins are welcome. All participants will be entered to win one of two pairs of Delta Airlines tickets!

4. The will hold a work session at 1:30 p.m. and then its regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the commissioners boardroom at Marietta Patch will be there.
