Travel Back in Time with Forgotten Stories of the Civil War

Marietta's Brad Quinlin, one of the most well-known and prominent Civil War researchers in the country, will do a lecture on Friday, June 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Quinlin will reveal forgotten stories of soldiers from his newest book, Under the Shadow of a Grim and Silent Kennesaw: Letters from the Kennesaw Mountain Battle Line. 

The evening will highlight Quinlin's research in the National Archives uncovering lost information on Cobb County.

Quinlin has spent years researching several different battles during the Civil War that happened in Cobb County. He does lectures, battlefield tours, re-enactments; volunteers at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park; conducts research; and has published several books.

Admission to the Marietta Museum of History event is $5.
