Watershed Stewards Offer Rain Barrel Workshop
A project that would have been perfect for last week's wet weather still tops The 5 Things for today.
1. A project like this might make the rain go away for awhile, but at the from 2 to 3 p.m. there will be a Rain Barrel Make and Take Workshop. Members of the Watershed Stewardship Program will demonstrate how to create rain barrels from 55-gallon drums donated by Coca-Cola. Attendees should be dressed for the outdoors and ready to work with power tools. A four-door sedan or larger vehicle will be needed to take a barrel home.

2. For your civic duty enjoyment, there are a series of planning commission meetings. The county Planning Commission is holding a zoning meeting at 9 a.m. today at the Board of Commissioners room on the second floor of .
