Wild West Comes to Cobb for Library's Benefit

Inaugural festival featuring cowboys, cowgirls and many things Western tops The 5 Things for today.

1. The will host its inaugural Wild West Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at. This is a true time-travel event that features cowboys and cowgirls, gunslingers, fast draw demonstrations, cowboy music and lasso lessons from days gone by. Visitors can stop by a working chuck wagon to see how cowboys cooked in authentic 1800s style. Cost is $12 per person while children 3 and younger get in free. 2. For another benefit, visit for a one-day tennis camp featuring Chuck Kriese, a four-time NCAA coach of the year who once coached the Clemson University men’s tennis team. 3. Today is another "Sweet and Savory Saturday" at the Marietta Museum of History. This event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in conjunction with the museum's "Yall Come Eat!" exhibit and features local chefs, restaurants and vendors showing off Southern cuisine. For information, call 770-794-5710.

4. The 's latest charity wine tasting from 2 to 4 p.m. today features the Léal Vineyards.
