5K on the Farm Run/Walk at Still Family Farm

Still Family Farm, LLC, located just west of Atlanta in Cobb County, announces its innaugural 5K on the Farm Run/Walk, to be held Saturday, July 19, 2014.  The race will be held at 8:00 a.m., and runners and walkers can register at stillfamilyfarm.com or http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=2130489.

Participants will enjoy five kilometers, or just over three miles, of flat and incline trail through the picturesque landscape that helps make up the nearly 150 acres of land that’s been in the Still family for eight generations.

President of Still Family Farm, Leslie Still Oubre, says, “We want to bring our community together in an outdoor, organic setting.  A race seemed like a natural progression from Corn on the Cobb, our public event in the fall, since it gives people a chance to see the land at their own pace.  We want neighbors, friends and families to run or walk through these woods and create memories, just like we do on a daily basis.”

Still Family Farm is conveniently located in west Cobb County and was established to present opportunities for local residents to create lasting memories by connecting them to each other through the surroundings, the land, and the area’s history.  Still Family Farm was founded by cousins Leslie Still Oubre and Jeffrey Still with the vision of becoming a community destination where families and neighbors can share the good food, great stories, and deep roots inherent to the Farm.
