Bright Ideas is a decidedly dark comedy about the competitive and cutthroat world of modern parenting. Josh and Gen have managed to get their young son on the waiting list for one of the most prestigious educational institutions in town -- which just happens to be a pre-school known as the Bright Ideas Early Childhood Development Academy. Now, one dinner party is all that stands between them and the assured life-long success of their beloved three-year-old. Out of Box Theatre mounts this production of award-winning playwright Eric Coble's sharp satire.
