End of Summer Reading Celebration

Ahoy,
all! Join the End of the Summer Reading Program Celebration on Saturday, August
3rd presented by the Cobb County Public Library System at the Central Library in
Marietta from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pirates is the theme for the all-ages free
celebration featuring games, prizes, crafts, and much more!

The pirates event will be truly decked out with a huge pirate ship, party music,
palm trees, seashells, blue crabs, caves, and all the atmosphere of the high
seas and tropical beaches. Take the challenge of throwing  soft pirate
footballs at a skull and crossbones target. Pose for “Dress Like a Pirate” photos. Kids can have their faces painted. Enjoy story times with Mother Pirate. Walk the plank. Win pirate
coins and treasures, pirate bookmarks, pirate tattoos, and pirate mustaches.
Greet the library’s CAREing Paws dogs.
All in the spirit of celebration of reading! See ya
there, mateys!
