Pandora's Box

Pandora’s Box (1929) (NR). Sunday, November 25, 3pm. G.W. Pabst's film that catapulted Louise Brooks to international acclaim and made her the icon of the Jazz Age tells the tragic story of Lulu, the hedonistic dancer and prostitute. Released in 1929, after the advent of “talkies”, Pandora’s Box caused quite a scandal due to its racy content.  Brooks radiates sexuality with her subtlety of expression and gesture. This silent movie will be accompanied in full by Ron Carter on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ.
