Please join us for Picketts Mill Elementary's 4th Annual 5K and Fun Run! The 5K will start and end at Allatoona High School's football stadium. Registration begins at 8:00 am however you can pre-register (and ensure yourself a T-SHIRT) at http://pickettsmill.typepad.com/pickettsmillfoundation/
The Fun Run will be a 1/2 mile run, 2 laps around the Allatoona track. Each contestant will receive a medal and the cost of the run is $10. For an additional $7 you can purchase a Tee Shirt. The Fun Run begins at 8:30 am.
The 5K will be a timed full-length 5k that starts and ends at the Allatoona stadium. The cost of the 5K is $25 and includes a Tee Shirt. Please register online at the above link to ensure yourself a Tee Shirt. The 5K starts at 9:00 am. The race will begin at the parking lot entrance at Allatoona High School in Acworth behind the visitor side of the stadium. It will run behind the stadium and out Old Kemp Road. Turning right onto Cheatham Road and continuing to the 4-way stop. This is the turn around point. Then running back up Cheatham Road, taking a left on Old Kemp Road and re-enter the school grounds. The course continues up the hill to the main entrance of the Allatoona High School campus and taking a left down the road closest to the gym. Concluding taking a left onto the sidewalk to enter the Stadium and finishing with a lap on the track through the Finish line!!!
In addition to the 5K and Fun Run we will also have a FUN ZONE which is free to all participants of the Fun Run. If you do not participate in the Fun Run, access to the Fun Zone can be purchased for $5. The Fun Zone includes games, prizes and inflatibles.
The FUN ZONE will be monitored and secured for those parents that would like to leave their children there while running in the 5K!
