Reception for "A Sense of Place" by artist Paul LaJeunesse at 2 Rules Fine Art

2 Rules Fine Art will hold a reception for "A Sense of Place," an art exhibition of landscapes by Atlanta artist Paul LaJeunesse. The reception takes place Friday night, February 7, from 6-9pm at the gallery.

LaJeunesse is a realist landscape painter. Some of the landscapes in the exhibition were completed by LaJeunesse while in Iceland on a Fulbright grant. Those paintings, mostly done in stark black and white, depict the cold and hauntingly beautiful landscapes of Iceland. Additional works in the exhibition are colorful landscapes rendered with a surreal quality, many with a collage approach that pulls various spaces together into a singular dramatic new space.

LaJeunesse has exhibited nationally and internationally, and he has taught art for almost ten years. He currently resides in Atlanta, where he teaches drawing and painting at Georgia State University.

The reception on February 7, 6-9pm, is free and open to the public.

Regular gallery hours are Wed - Sat, 11am - 6pm.
