STANTON LANIER, PIANIST OF PEACE™, TO RELEASE EIGHTH CD, OPEN SPACES
Stanton Lanier, Pianist of Peace™, is hosting a concert premiere as he releases his eighth album, Open Spaces, at the Murray Arts Center in Kennesaw on Sept. 8. More than 500 Atlanta music lovers and advocates of peace and hope through inspired instrumental compositions will gather for this one-of-a-kind performance.
The concert will feature Lanier on a 9-foot Steinway Concert Grand Piano, alongside Grammy-winning percussionist Jeff Haynes, who is featured in 4 of the new tracks, as well as Atlanta-based cellist, Marla Majett.
Lanier’s performance will appeal not only to the attuned ear, but promises an interactive and visually stimulating experience. The works of nationally acclaimed photographer Morgan McKenna of Colorado will accompany Lanier’s compositions on 30-foot screens, as will inspiring stories from Lanier’s life. Audience interaction is encouraged through a composing demonstrations and more.
