Georgia Urban Forest Council's Third Annual ArborJam on September 22, 6-9 p.m., benefits Georgia ReLeaf,  a tree planting initiative spearheaded by the Georgia Urban Forest Council in partnership with the Georgia Forestry Commission to help restore the urban forests in Georgia towns and cities that have been devastated by storms.   In 2011/2012, Georgia ReLeaf provided tree planting funding to the communities of Ringgold, Trenton, Madison, and Newborn, all struck by tornadoes earlier.  This unique evening features delicious food and drink, live music, a fun silent auction, and, as an added bonus, a visit through the Marietta Museum of History , housed on the second floor of the historic Kennesaw House, which is the subject of many stories and local ghost folklore and featured on CNN, The History Channel and PBS.  By attending ArborJam, you support towns and cities across Georgia that have lost trees to storms and need funding to replant them.  We hope to see you there!
