Color Can Make or Break the Sale of Your House

As a Staging professional I want to guide my clients through the staging process to get their house sold as soon as possible. Color can play a large part in helping you to sell your home much faster.

As a Staging professional I know it can be a hard decision for a homeowner to decide to put their house on the market. It is my job to make the staging process as easy as possible for my clients. I always give them staging tips that will sell their house faster.

When they are planning to sell their home, I also try to teach them that they must start thinking in a different way about their personalized home. There are many things you need to do to prepare your home to move. A few examples are furniture placement, picture placement, traffic flow, accessories, reducing items in the house and reducing clutter.

Color plays a large part in staging or preparing to sell your home quickly. Beautiful red or brown walls are so festive and rich looking. The color red can add a certain personality or mood to the room. The color brown can add a closed in feeling to some people and a quiet comforting feeling to others. Even though those colors will always have their special place in decorating they are not the best colors to use when you want to put your house on the market to sell. It is best to use neutral colors that are more acceptable to the majority of people. You do not have to paint your walls white. One of the paint colors that seem to have the most success in selling a home is a warm creamy tone. Another popular color is a creamy tone that has hues of green within it. These colors help your room feel larger.

Potential buyers are very busy people just like the sellers are. The potential buyer of your home will usually have dual incomes and will not have the time or desire to paint your dark or red walls. There are so many houses on the market right now that the buyer has many houses to choose from. If the buyer finally decides to choose between two of the houses on his/her list, the buyer sometimes will choose the house that has the least amount of work or painting to be done. Don’t lose your edge in selling your home just because you do not want to paint your walls.

How you live in your house and how you sell your house are two different things. I will be happy to assist you in preparing your home to sell. As a professional I will guide you to the best paint colors and staging tips and techniques that you will need to help sell your home faster.
