Scholarship Opportunity for High School Students!

As in years past, The Kiwanis Club of Marietta is once again offering deserving high school students entering college an opportunity to apply for Marietta Kiwanis Foundation scholarships.

Historically, scholarships average $2,000 each and are available to students throughout the community who complete the requisite application. Students’ applications are then reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and a total of nine (9) scholarships are awarded; seven (7)  administered by The Kiwanis Club of Marietta and one each where the application is made directly to Kennesaw State University (KSU) and Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU). Scholarship information along with application forms is available on the club's website.

Applications must be received no later than March 31, 2014. Selection criteria typically includes a combination of academic achievement, character (exemplified by extracurricular and community service activities), a written essay and financial need. All scholarship recipients will be announced and recognized during The Kiwanis Club of Marietta’s weekly luncheon, Thursday, May 15, 2014.

For additional information regarding Marietta / Cobb County Kiwanis organizations, please contact Pat Huey, Executive Director, at executivedirector@mariettakiwanis.org or 770.432.1760.
