Remember Your Valentine

The origin of celebrating February 14th before it was a friendly…amorous…romantic day has a multiple of suggestions, but it is pretty much acknowledged our current symbolic “love”  connection for the day goes back to the 14th century.  However, much has been written about a couple of the original Valentine’s being actual people who were imprisoned or tortured for their Christian Faith.  A note by the prisoner to his family “Remember Your Valentine” became the heartbeat for future endearments by couples and friends with entirely different and less dire meaning.

 No matter how you spend the day, whether at the jeweler, the florist, an expense or exquisite start for a long 4-day weekend extended by President’s Day on Monday.  No matter how you send your message, by a gift, telephone call, mail, or electronically. We hope you take a moment to remember those Americans  ambushed and killed on Sept 11, 2012 in Benghazi  AND  these imprisoned for their faith:
