Where to Get the Best Hot Chocolate in Marietta

Take a look at our favorite hot chocolate picks in Marietta, and share your favorites with us.

No matter how old I get, the holidays mean it's time for one thing—hot cocoa. And there is no shortage of this wintery beverage in Marietta! So who do you think serves the best hot chocolate in Marietta?

Who serves the best hot chocolate in Marietta? Tell us in the comments.

1. Le Cafe Crepe is my favorite place to get hot chocolate on Marietta Square. Chocolate Chaud (hot Coco heaven)—it earns its name. From the strong freshly-melted dark chocolate to the thick whip cream to the light sprinkle of cinnamon, it's the perfect drink to fight off the cold.

While you're at Le Cafe Crepe, try one of their crepes. I suggest Crepe Californienne (vanilla custard with lemons and oranges), Crepe Brazillienne (chocolate mouse with raspberry sauce, cherries and almonds) and Crepe Francaise (cinnamon apples with butter and syrup). Do you have a favorite crepe?

Le Cafe Crepe is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

2. Number two on my list is Sugar Cakes, and yes I admit that half the fun of going to Sugar Cakes is the selection of desserts. However, Sugar Cakes is a great place to stop for a warm beverage and enjoy a view of the Square.

There is a to snack on while you are there. Chocolate caramel tarts, red velvet cake, chocolate banana mouse, black and white chocolate mousse, chocolate raspberry mousse, Manhattan cheese cake, southern pecan tart, tiramisu, hazelnut chocolate mousse, the Mirage and more.

Sugar Cakes is open Tuesday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3. Hot chocolate for the kids and coffee for parents. Cool Beans serves Hot Chocolate or Mexican Spiced Hot Chocolate just like you would expect from a coffee shop. It's not packaged powder with added water; it's steamed milk, chocolate and whipped cream.

Cool Beans is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All fabulous places on the Square! I haven't had the Chocolate Chaud from Le Cafe Crepe yet, but now I'll definitely be trying it. Love their Crepe au Jambon. Thanks!
