Armed Man with Surgical Mask, Latex Gloves Robs CVS Pharmacy

The man entered the C.V.S. in Marietta and demanded specific prescription drugs and cash.

Cobb Police are searching for the perpetrator of an armed man robbery that occurred at the C.V.S. at 2014 Powers Ferry Road, on Dec. 5.

The man entered the C.V.S. and approached employees at the pharmacy counter. He demanded specific prescription drugs and cash from the register. The perpetrator displayed a handgun that was tucked in his waistband, according to Sgt. Dana Pierce of the Cobb Police Department.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the perpetrator fled from the area in what was described as a gold or tan (full size) S.U.V., Pierce said.

The perpetrator is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall and heavyset or muscular, according to Cobb Police. He is between 40 and 50 years old and was last seen wearing black plastic rimmed eyeglasses, a black jacket and a skull cap.

At the time of the robbery, he concealed his facial features with a surgical mask. He also had on latex gloves and walked with the aid of a black “crook style” walking cane, according to Cobb Police. Witnesses also told investigators that he walked with a noticeable limp.
