Armed Men Rob Cobb Pawn Shop

Two men, both carrying purses and one wearing a wig, robbed the Cobb Pawn Shop on Sept. 18.

Two men, both carrying purses and one wearing a wig, robbed the Cobb Pawn Shop, 1690 Cobb Pkwy S, on Sept. 18 at around 10:30 a.m.

One perpetrator was dressed as a woman with a yellow purse and wig. The other wore a dark Adidas windbreaker with three stripes running down each sleeve, was carrying a red purse and had a dark Braves hat with a tomahawk on the front, according to Marietta Police. 

One perpetrator pulled a black revolver out of his purse and pointed it at the victim, according to Police. The victim was bound with duct tape in a back room and the two men proceeded to rob the store.

An undisclosed amount of money and jewelry was taken.

The perpetrators arrived and left in a grey or black Suzuki Grand Vitara, probably a 2009-2013 model, and fled south on Cobb Pkwy, according to Police.

This robbery is not the first time a male perpetrator has dressed like a woman in Marietta. In April, a man wearing a woman's long-hair wig posed as a customer, then stabbed a Hock Shop employee and robbed the establishment. Last October, a man wearing a shoulder-length black wig robbed the BB&T bank at 1901 Sandy Plains Rd. in Marietta.
