Armed Robbers Ransack Marietta Home

The robbery occurred just before 7:45 p.m. Friday as the residents arrived home.

Cobb authorities are looking for two armed robbers who forced their way inside a Marietta residence Friday evening and ransacked it.

The robbery occurred just before 7:45 p.m. Friday as the residents arrived at their homeΒ in the 2600 block of Hicks Road, said Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department.

Two men wearing ski masks made the victims stay in a bedroom while they ransacked the house. After taking a variety of the victims' belongings, the men fled the home in an unknown direction.

Both of the black male suspects were armed with unknown caliber handguns, Bowman said.

One of the suspects is 5-foot-11 with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect is 5-foot-8 with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a navy hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
