Armed Robbery at Common Quarter Restaurant

Two suspects stole a safe and forced an employee into a cooler Sunday morning.

A high-profile Cobb restaurant that opened last fall was robbed Sunday morning when two suspects removed a safe from the premises, Cobb Police said.

Officer Michael Bowman said two men entered the back door of the Common Quarter restaurant at 1205 Johnson Ferry Road around 7:30 a.m. Sunday and forced an employee into an office at gunpoint.

Police said that the suspects then forced the employee into a cooler after the employee could not open the safe. The suspects took the safe and left the restaurant in an unknown direction, according to Bowman.

The suspects are both described as black males.

One is 5-foot-9 and weighing between 180-190 pounds. He was last seen wearing green cargo work pants, a navy blue jacket, work gloves and a black ski mask and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect is 5-foot-11 and approximately 200 pounds. There was no clothing description, but he was wearing a black ski mask and work gloves and also had a semi-automatic handgun, Bowman said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cobb Police at 499-3945.
