Armored Car Robbery Suspects Nabbed

Police believe an employee with the armored car company helped conspire with four others to carry out the October armed robbery. The arrests are the latest in a string of violent crimes involving some of the same people in the metro area.

Marietta police believe four individuals, with some help from the inside, are responsible for the armed robbery of a Dunbar armored car in October.

Three people, including a Dunbar employee, have been charged. Another suspect has since died and another person is still at large.

The arrests are the latest in a string of armed robberies and other violent crimes involving some of the same people across Atlanta, according to the AJC.

In the beginning, police had little to go on but a blurry video image of the suspects. But in the next six months, Marietta detectives worked with the FBI, which was investigating a series of armored car robberies throughout the Atlanta area.

In addition, authorities collaborated with DeKalb police who were investigating a homicide case where the victim, Chris Bennett, was a possible suspect in the Marietta robbery.

Following multiple jurisdictions, including Gwinnett, sharing information, and the use of crime-related technology, detectives came to believe Veronica Bullard, a Dunbar employee, conspired with Quentin Booker, Stacey Dooley and Bennett to carry out the Marietta robbery.

Bullard, 32, of Lithia Springs, has been charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. She is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery charges have been filed on Booker, 34, of Douglasville, and Dooley, 34, of Snellville. Both are in custody in Gwinnett County on charges unrelated to the Marietta robbery case, according to a police spokeswoman.

Bennett is deceased. There is one additional suspect involved who hasn’t been identified. The investigation will continue.
