Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on North Marietta Parkway between I-75 and Wallace Road on Friday morning.
The Marietta Police Department STEP Unit arrested Tanner Bertram, 22, of Acworth, in the fatal hit-and-run that occurred on North Marietta Parkway near Interstate 75 on Dec. 27, according to a press release from Marietta Police Public Information Officer David Baldwin.
Bertram turned himself in to Marietta Police Investigators Monday afternoon and was taken to the Cobb County Jail where he will be charged with Felony Hit and Run and 2nd Degree Vehicular Homicide, according to the release.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Matthew Tyner of Marietta.
