Arrest Made in Sunday's Fatal Stabbing

Orville Rivera, 32, was caught during a routine traffic stop in Delaware.

have identified Sunday's victim as Nutrition Amatol, 28, of Marietta. (Note: Friends have since said the correct name is Neriton Amaral.)

Orville Francisco Cotto Rivera is charged with felony murder, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a news release.

The investigation continues, and police ask anyone with information about the stabbing to call 770-499-3945.

A traffic stop in Delaware resulted in the arrest of the man suspected in Sunday’s fatal stabbing of a Marietta man in East Cobb.

Orville Rivera, 32, of Atlanta is being held in lieu of $1 million cash bond pending his extradition to Cobb County, the Wilmington, DE, News Journal reported.

A Delaware State Patrol trooper arrested Rivera around 2 p.m. Monday on northbound Interstate 95 in Newark, according to a State Patrol news release reported by radio station WGMD-FM.

Rivera was stopped for an unspecified traffic violation, and a computer check revealed the murder warrant out for his arrest, the State Patrol said.

Rivera is wanted in connection with the whom found in the parking lot of the Mexican restaurant Los Bravos at 1360 Powers Ferry Rd. about 3:20 a.m. Sunday.
