Arrest Made in White Water Sexual Misconduct Incidents

Marietta Police have charged a Powder Springs man with three felony counts of sexual battery against juveniles.

A Powder Springs man is facing charges of sexual battery against children at the Six Flags White Water Park on Cobb Parkway.

Jerry Dean Westbrook, 68, was arrested by Marietta Police on Tuesday and charged with three felony counts in connection with an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct involving juvenile females.

The probe began in September when witnesses said they observed a white man, between the ages of 50 and 70, having inappropriate contact with young female children in the wave pool.

Police said Tuesday that Westbrook had a season pass to White Water and was known to frequent the park alone.

Marietta Police are asking anyone who has had contact with this subject at White Water to contact Detective Mark Erion at 770-794-5363.
