All-Clear Given for Cobb Courthouse

A building was locked down late Wednesday morning due to an anonymous bomb threat.

The Marietta Daily Journal is reporting that there no longer is a threat, and that entry to the courthouse building is not being restricted after a search of the area.

A Cobb courthouse building was evacuated Wednesday morning after an anonymous bomb threat was issued, according to Marietta Police.

Police said that Haynes Street and Waddell Street are closed as the investigation into the threat continues.

Fox 5 Atlanta reported that the Cobb threat came in around 10:14 a.m.

Multiiple media reports also indicate that a similar threat and evacuation has taken place at the Cherokee County Courthouse. Canton-Sixes Patch is reporting that threat has turned out to be a hoax.
