Burger King Robbed Overnight

It's the latest in a string of fast-food holdups, WSB radio reports.

A lone man with a shotgun carried out the robbery at 12:53 a.m., spokesman Officer Mike Bowman says.

The gunman forced his way inside Burger King, then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the employees, Bowman wrote in a news release.

The gunman hid his face with a bandanna, so the employees couldn't offer a useful description.

A west Marietta was robbed about 1 a.m. today, WSB radio is reporting.

The employees of the restaurant on Dallas Highway, open 24 hours a day, could not describe the armed robber, who fled on foot, WSB says.

Information on what was stolen is not yet available.

The robbery comes two days after in Buckhead. Buckhead Patch reports that police suspect the slain bandit, Jimmy Allen, 31, in several other Burger King robberies around the metro area.

Another armed robbery occurred Thursday at a in East Cobb, East Cobb Patch reports.
