Cobb Authorities Search Inmate, Find 30 Bags of Drugs

He is in custody without bond on one count of purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana.

An Americus man allegedly hid 30 marijuana-filled plastic bags in his rectum, Cobb authorities said.

Officials at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center made the discovery when they searched Dayton Calloway on July 14.

"Accused did have in his possession and control 29 individually packaged bags of marijuana and a clear plastic bag which contained approximately 13 grams of loose leaf marijuana," according to an arrest warrant.

He remains in custody without bond on one count of purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana. Calloway has a hold on his release out of Sumter County.
