Cobb County Sheriff’s Department to Recruit Deputies

While no prior experience is necessary, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department recruit a number of deputies Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The recruitment and information session will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Rd. in Marietta.

While no prior experience is necessary, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED). They must also be U.S. citizens with a valid driver’s license. Applicants are encouraged to dress properly to increase their chances of employment, have pens for filling out applications, and have plenty of resumes.

The starting salary is $38,355.20 per year.
